On a cold, wintery afternoon, I headed out to Taos pueblo. As many times previous, I was compelled to take photos of the dramatic light reflecting on the low lying clouds, with Taos mountain as the backdrop. On impulse, I stopped at the Tiwa kitchen for lunch. After all the years of living in Taos, I’d never had lunch here. With a fire going in the kiva fireplace, it was warm and inviting. The young man who took my order was very friendly, believing me to be a tourist. I felt like one. The lunch was excellent! It was the perfect accompaniment to a cold, wintery day.
